Great prospect.

I love how she was a tad disappointed with coming 5th in the final

Wouldn't be surprised to see Adekele win an Olympic medal in Paris.

Bit soon. A Final appearance is a big ask. A potential medalist for sure.

Not really.

Lots of variables to consider.

She's run about 60 races this year alone, Texas University ran the legs off her indoors and outdoors. If you compare that to most other athletes, they would probably have run about 10 races and the training is scheduled so that they peak at the Worlds, Olympics or Europeans etc...

Adeleke was all about colleges places etc...Worlds and Europeans were not her focus. She only choose to go Munich about 1 or 2 weeks ago, she was due to go Mexico on holidays but choose Munich kinda at the last minute.

She ran 50.53 from lane 1 - and lane 1 is a poxy lane to run from, especially if your a tall rangey athlete. Most, if not all medals are usually won from lanes 3 to 6.

In the last year she's been mixing it up from 60's to 100's to 200's and then finally the 400, breaking all Irish records along the way.

She's only 19 years of age! she's an incredible athlete.

If she stays injury free, rests and recovers properly and then focuses solely on the 400m she can go sub 50 next year. She's already done it twice in the relay (although it doesn't really count) and a sub 50 will win you a medal.

Klaver came 4th in the Worlds and Adeleke beat her yesterday (from lane 1).

You need a bit of luck along the way but there is no doubt she could win a medal.

Considering she's Irish, you can stick her down for a 4th spot, with third place beating her by a 1000th of a second :(

Some very impressive performances from the Irish athletes this week.

Could possible get a couple more medals in the relay and English in the 800m. It's a tough ask though.

All these swimmers and athletes with these suction cup marks all over their bodies.  The state of them.  They look like summink out of Alien Nation.

There are 2 young lads running in the 10k for Ireland later, both former asylum seekers. There participation alone is going to piss off the right people. Good luck to the both

6th with a PB a great result. Would have been nice if he had managed to pick up a medal. Defo one to watch in the future. Him getting a medal at some stage will annoy all the right people too

Ciara Mageean smashing the national record for 1500m tonight and getting the win in the diamond league.  Legend Clap

Pity it's two years to the next Olympics as she would be a real shout for a medal this year.
