Does anyone know if the goal against Shrewsbury midweek was awarded to him? Tets?

4 in his last 6 if it was, after his last minute equaliser against Fleetwood today.

Either way, he's in impressive form since joining Portsmouth. Harness and Curtis also scored. And four Irishmen scored in total with Pilkington netting for the opponents Fleetwood.

Bazunu has been a bit rocky lately. At fault in a previous game and didn't cover himself in glory in this one.

He has a goal for us though which should act as a source of inspiration for Connolly, Idah and Parrott.

He did not make the Sunderland squad on Friday because he was injured.

Came off the bench and scored in the 8-1 rout of Villa's kids in the Checkatrade.

I mean like teams in the competition usually include a few fringe seniors but due to the timing of the fixture there was none but you can only play what's infront of you.

In terms of where he'll be in the squad it's hopelessly pointless speculating as 4 different strikers contributed to the 8 goals so it didn't reveal much.

I've a feeling he'll score regularly at that level if he's played up front rather than wide and gets good service.

What happened to him at Millwall? Wasn’t he regularly there for years. Moving to Sunderland, albeit a larger club is a step back.

Hopefully if Aiden becomes a regular in the Sunderland team during the forthcoming season and hits some form he can get into the Irish squad.

He mentioned that goal and how surreal and emotional it was as he'd been dreaming of the moment all his life.

Also said he was very much from an Irish background talking about playing for HIS country.

You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

Came up in my news feed he liked the FAIs tweet about the P/O games being likely for October. Pointless info there for ya

Aiden is on after 21.00.

They will be talking about his hard upbringing amongst other things.
