For March 2016. This is the type of friendly we should be targetting so happy with that. Very winnable match against a side on the upper end of the rankings.
Remember around the time Kerr took us over we had some great friendly wins against high ranked sides like Czech and Portugal and a draw with Brazil. It was around this time we went up to 12th in the rankings.

Yeah, agree with everything you said there Andy. Good opposition to test ourselves against and a winnable match.

Would have thought so myself, I can't remember seeing teams due to play each other in an upcoming tournament playing each other in a friendly earlier in the year, they usually arrange friendlies against their group opponents' neighbours (eg when we played Bosnia a few weeks before we played Croatia in Euro 2012). Thought either the FAI or Swiss FA would have held off on arranging any friendlies until after the draw is made in December.

This deffo on the Friday tho? OP just said March. How do the other posters know it's gonna be on the Friday?
