The team that knocked them out of the EL last season Slovan Bratislava were knocked out on penalties to a Finnish team, so Dundalk would have half a chance in the playoffs if they get there and avoid Celtic

Great to see Dundalk going through. Unless there was something wrong with my stream the floodlights seemed shocking. I could hardly see the far side of the pitch.

I'd say it was just the camera, was the same on my stream.

Lights have to meet UEFA requirements and that's also the same ground Ireland played in 2011

Sheriff are one dodgy outfit, the company runs half of Transnistria 

I did a tour of the Sheriff football complex after the game over there a few years back, seriously impressive, they've a 5k seater indoor stadium as back up to their outdoor stadium

From what I read of them they were the remnants of the Soviet state company taken over by oligarchs and charlatans that sell everything from vodka and cigarettes to luxury cars. A bit like Murdoch here, they also decide who runs the country.

Again probably the best draw given the pot we were in. An on form Dundalk would have more than a decent chance of getting to the group stages this year, just can’t see it happening with the way we are playing at the minute

just looking at the prize money earned so far

280k for champions league
260k for EL 2nd round
280k for EL 3rd round

260k for any champions do not make either group stages, that puts us at a minimum of 1,060,000

Another 300k if we get to play off round and lose

With 3 away games, flights and accommodation will take a big lump of that, especially with no home leg with fans to off set the costs
