An historic day. It will take a lot more meetings and summits to get to a denuclearised North Korea. If anyone actually thought it was going to happen quickly is clueless.

Wasn't so long ago he was calling him RocketMan LOL

Joint exercises between the US and South Korean militaries cancelled but neither Seoul or the Pentagon were apparently informed in advance

Let's be real here. Nothing was ever going to be concluded after 1 meeting, it will probably take a dozen just to get the Japanese prisoners thing sorted never mind nuclear missiles.

Kim's got the rockstar A-List celebrity status treatment to show to everyone back home which puts him in an advantageous position, Trump's problem is if Kim starts firing missiles again Trump will look like and probably feel like a right moron after all of this.

President Trump says he got North Korea to commit to destroying a major missile testing site but "we didn't put it in the agreement because we didn't have time."

The lefties are disgusted that the summit lasted 4.5 hours, and they signed a declaration of Intent. They were boasting that Trump would fuc it up in the first 4.5 minutes and the missiles would rain down on Seoul by the end of the week. Some of them were actually cheering on the mass murderer,  who has slaughtered members of his own family and handed Warmbier back to Trump last year in a vegetative state.

Realistically, nothing more ambitious can be signed for now untill Japan, China, and South Korea have given it the green light. But a lot more progress was made than was expected, and thanks to Trump, the region is a little bit safer today than it was last night.

After JFK met Krutschev all those years ago, their summit went so badly that the world soon went to the brink of all out nuclear war.

Of course, this is a propaganda coup for the mass murderer. Their entire regime is based on propaganda. So if he wants another propaganda coup at the White House, and he does, it's in his interests to honour his part of the deal he signed.

To evaluate this, I think you have to ask yourself what your feelings would be if it was Obama in Trump's shoes. In a vacuum of course, as his behaviour last weekend was contemptible, but does this merit credit as an individual piece of diplomacy, or is the whole thing a window dressing exercise with little substance.

Window dressing exercise

Obama wouldn't have done anything like this with no concessions. Trump torn up the Iran deal with numerous concessions from the Iranians yet the Trump cultists want you to believe that today was a huge thing despite no concessions were given by NK
