Yeah we played them (Fermoy) in the league and cup there over the last few weeks. Decent junior team. Good shout of winning the league or at least promotion.

Do you know Eoin Cody?

Senior team bottom of the Senior Premier after 4 games, with only 1 point.

Drew 0-0 with Avondale, lost 2-1 to Bandon and 5-1 to Rockmount. Bandon were promoted this year and in my opinion aren't too great from seeing/hearing about them in the Senior 1st division last year.

However, from looking at the results the league looks a bit inconsistent (like any).

Bandon lost 2-3 to Rockmount, the following week get hammered by Avondale 5-1, than beat Carrigaline the next week 2-1.

Are you playing them home or away? Match might be on their astro pitch if the weather stays bad.

I'd imagine you'll have enough to beat them anyway.

Cheers Seany.

Only 4 games played???

We are at home in the Intermediate. I believe Denis Behan is playing for them? and Greg O'Halloran is their manager. Good pedigree there anyway.

Maybe cup games have stalled their league games? Yeah Behan is playing (doesn't appear to look as ehhh fit anymore) but O'Halloran stepped down as manager a few weeks ago. Dave Moore is their new manager.

I'd say going on to foot.ie and dropping a comment on the Munster Senior League thread might get you some more info if needed.

Found out our Junior team got scrapped tonight. Awful sickner considering we only lost one game in the league compared to the senior team who haven't won a game yet.

Not enough numbers. You'd be getting 11 at training some nights between the two teams. So they decided to pool everyone into the seniors which no doubt will see lots leave.

Numbers have been dwindling this season and last. Not a lot of new faces.

sh*te, can understand why the club made the decision when lads don't turn up for training.

Apparently its in the munster senior league and the Cork AUL rules that if a team pulls out during the season, it must be their lowest team, ie their Junior Team.

Stupid rule. Got caught with it before when our senior team was struggling and our Junior team were top of AUL 2A. Junior team gets scrapped and moved up to Premier Division.

Big result for Ringmahon today beating Firhouse in Intermediate Cup Quarter Final Replay. Apparently the Ringmahon keeper played with a dislocated finger. 3 of my mates over here in Toronto are ex 'Mahon lads

Saw Ringmahon win at Band on in the last round, had some very good players, especially going forward.

Lad playing centre mid Paul Deasy is a class act. Was with City for a while under Doolin. He does be over and back to Toronto visiting the lads. Great fella and a top player. Hope they make the final but get beat by Crumlin Wink
