Surely Bucko's time is up?

When pats just escaped relegation, about 6/7 years ago(?) , did they start this badly?
Bucko looks odds on for the sack- nutsy will get his job I reckon

Cant see Nutsy leaving Waterford.
More importantly, I cant see Pats matching the wage he`s on at Waterford.

Similar to ourselves, they`ve recruited piss poorly and the whole thing is going nowhere.
The only difference between them and us is instead of signing a load of kids they signed a load of washed up LOI players.

Absolutely abysmal showings from Saints last night.
Why is Fagan not starting?

He drops Fagan for not doing enough in games but when he plays he goes 1 up front and has done the last 2 years. Fagan odds on to be the smallest player on the pitch every game he plays and hes up top by himself when he plays. Some of the signings you would wonder in the last 2 seasons . The likes of Langley Cyril Geudje etc... then peers who is a an ok center back but is so slow he has to sit 20 yards deeper then everyone else. Dont get me started on the Dennehey brothers.. If we go down we could be gone bust within 2 years judging by the crowd last night. I hope I am proved wrong.

Whats with no sponsirship on pats jerseys atal. Could they not find anyone. Nothing on the front of the jersey, no names on the back. Its basically just a tee shirt. Poor.

Its real amateur hour stuff. Waterford were at it for the whole of last year. Cobh were at the league launch without a sponsor on their shirt too.

The local U8s can get a sponsor so a LOI club should be able to get one.
Nothing wrong with putting a local charity on the shirt.

There was some mitigating factors such as the United match on the box and it being a Monday yada yada but in truth there is a malaise in the club for the last few years. Across the board, the set up is poor. - Annual downgrading in terms of player quality
- Poor engagement in local community
- No great source of news or interest being generated to attract new supporters or win back old ones. Generally no buzz about the place.

The only positives appear to be the u17s and u19s have been going well and will hopefully continue to produce a few players but whats the point if they go the way of Sean Hoare and Jamie McGrath.

Only a matter of time that silly banner can be burned.

As pessimistic as I am, I don't see us going down this year. That's not to say that I see it being a comfortable or successful season.  It's another year going backwards but I think there's enough dross in the league that we should stay up.

With Dundalk away , Shams at home and Bohs away the next 3 games for Pats , Id worry for them. They could be going to Dalymount with 6 games played and 1 point to show for it. That's relegation form no matter what way you look at it , more so when a quarter of the league is being relegated.

that the season we finished 7 in a ten team league 11 points ahead of a playoff spot in 2009? Cork and Derry were relegated for off field issues that season also iirc

I got a flyer in the door for the first game of the season, if memory serves me correctly there was one flyer sent at the start of last season, now compare that with Mizzoni's next door to Richmond Park...

The Ultras used to be great -for constant singing and drumming - but last season there was f**k all of it. I guess performances and results have impacted on that side of things.
