Suggestions that Moyes wants to use him next season

He has plenty Championship experience now, so it makes sense.
He could get plenty more championship experience next season too with west ham if their not careful.
I had never even thought of that.

Same as that. I've been very impressed with him in the couple of games he's played so far.

I'd be surprised if he didn't start in a some of the NL games.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

He's certainly a good option as a holding midfield pivot. Mobile and a good passer, which would make a big improvement on what we've usually had there for the past decade.
We're decent enough..

Big fan of Cullen myself. He is always looking for the ball, is a tidy passer and can put a tackle in (all of these attributes have been missing from our midfield for the past few years).

I really hope he gets a chance at West Ham, could be a decent holding midfield option for them.

I'd be happy enough to see West Ham relegated if it improves his prospects of getting into their team - which it almost certainly would. Establish himself in the Championship with them and then hopefully get promoted first time of asking.

We seem to be getting more options in the holding midfield role with players coming back into the fold and the emerging talent.

I'd probably have it as below in terms of pecking order -

1. James McCarthy
2. Josh Cullen
3. Jayson Molumby
4. Harry Arter
5. Glenn Whelan

Have watched him being a Charlton fan, for the past two seasons, I really feel that this lad has been badly overlooked by O'Neill and to some extent McCarthy, I honestly believe that he can be a first choice midfielder in either a 4-3-3, or 4-4-2.

Rarely loses possession, mostly played a s a central/defensive midfielder, cant wait to see him play in a 2 with Molumby under Kennys new modern, attacking style.

Lotsa of talk of Rice moving on soon which will open the door for someone like Cullen to take that spot.
I'd assume if WH have plans for him then he'd be back in their squad anyway next season if Rice is gone, but whether he'd be starting in the PL in that position, if they stay up, is another question.

Has to get game-time for us in Autumn.

If West Ham get relegated he is a ready made replacement for Rice.

Playing devils advocate: but sometimes he looks a bit immobile. He’s got that weird straight back running style and doesn’t look like he’s got much pace. He’s also a bit of a short arse.

Is that what’s holding him back?
You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

There's a difference between not being a flyer and not being mobile. Cullen's got that scampering style of running, he's not rapid but he covers plenty of ground.
We're decent enough..

Agree he's not a flyer but neither was Keane or Gattuso. Not seem him play much to be fair but I have heard a lot of positive things.

Funny you mention that as I've noticed the exact same thing with Obafemi in his last few games for Southampton. It's supposed to be good for your back but it does look a bit odd.

Charlton v Millwall later at 20:15.
Every chance we'll get a good look at both Cullen and Molumby as they battle it out in midfield in what's certain to be a competitive game, with both sides still with plenty to play for.
