At the u20 World Cup Final in 1991 between Portugal (Golden Generation) and Brasil there were 127,000 spectators in the Stade du Luz.

Imagine being 18/19 playing in front of 127,000.

Just read on wiki we were in that. Had a gander at the squad and not one of them went on to play for the Senior team unless I'm mistaken

When we played there in 1995, it had been reduced down in capacity to around 95,000 I believe due to safety reasons but was definitely over 100,000 before

Yes I looked too.

Although a few of the names I remember as being good prospects none actually gained senior caps.

That there is an entire Hasidic community in New Square, New York. Women must dress appropriately and there is segregation by sex on the street. Anyone who moves there is expected to comply with the religion.

I have seen quite a few in Stamford Hill too, including a bizarre incident early in the morning in a bakery that was ran by Hasidic Jews and an inebriated man who genuinely couldn't understand why they had no sausage rolls, but I never realised they had their own village. That video is pretty nuts.

The film I saw yesterday, Menashe, is a fascinating look at them and well worth watching if you are curious about them.

America is quirky like that - My mate lives in a town in the suburbs of Philly and it's totally dry : No boozers or alcohol sold anywhere. Go across the boundary of the town into the next town, back to normal !

Barry O'Connor and John Connolly finished their careers with Kildare County. Barry ended up being Assistant Manager to John Ryan for a couple of seasons.

Random one I'm not sure how (perhaps someone might know) but Trap Juniors favourite manager Paul Clement is related to Roy Hodgson somehow. (so Football Manager says anyway)
