Gave all the subs a game as they were already knocked out.

Unlike Italia '90 where Shilton wouldn't let the other keepers play in the 3rd place play-off.

Chasing caps like Given

I like Bobby Robson but playing Shilton as 1st choice was a bad decision.  How bad was he in the shoot out with West Germany!  He was 40 as well! Had about as much dynamism as Bobby himself.

I am not surprised Robson gave the subs a go in 1988, what surprise me was Watson being int he squad.  Never knew he even got in an England squad ever.

In the Dave Beasant episode of Quickly Kevin, they slate Shilton for the shoot-out.

Only there as a replacement for Seaman. Think in those days you could call up a replacement during the tournament  without extenuating circumstances

Winter Solstice is Dec 21st and commonly known as the shortest day of the year,
however the earliest sunset usually happens around the 12th or 13th and the latest sunrise happens on the 29th.
I also thought the earliest sunset and latest sunrise was the 21st.

Cyndi Lauper sang backing vocals on Hulk Hogan's theme tune "Real American"

Truly monumental tune, I realised this when it was played in Sin E nightclub one night about January 2011 and the place f**king lifted

Knowing Cyndi Lauper sang on it just makes it better, she's wonderful
