Two wins and a draw is hardly earth shattering. I think they’ll need to go on more of a run before you can say a corner has been turned.

Generally fans of the Scottish NT are good eggs I've found (unlike the Welsh who were extremely arrogant on their last couple of visits to Dublin). I always like to see them do well.

The Tans up North are on a decent run in fairness to them. Maximising the limited sum of their parts. Frustrating when you compare it to us
They have had 3 good results in a row in meaningful matches. They've done the square root of f**k all like ourselves in the last 5 years. Beat San Marino and Kosovo the height of it

To be quite honest with you, I could never understand why he played for them. However, I accept that some people are apolitical and just want to play football.

Not a fan of the term tbh

Okay, would you explain why? (Genuinely interested)

As you intimated some may do it for footbsll reasons some didn’t think they hadn’t  a choice ( they did) others just grew up playing with their mates through the years or are apolitical

The young fella from Tyrone is gonna be the latest target as he came from a nationalist background

It’s not my flag / anthem snd a norn iron identity is nothing to me
never  was never will be but a bit less acrimony doesn’t do any harm

Fair point, but it’s applicable in some cases (just less so than we may believe, perhaps).

You’re talking about completely separate groups here.

The types of Scots that voted ‘Yes’/hate the Union/aren’t Tory ****s/have no tolerance for the Royal Family etc., etc. are not the same ****s whose families were planters/support the DUP from afar/support Sevco/sing GSTK/attend Orange marches etc.

Totally different people, and a lot of the second group I’ve listed no longer support Scotland/have less interest in the nation team.

Absolutely all of this.

A quick read of the match thread on the Tartan Army forum will highlight to anyone the disconnect from reality that the Scots have.

Lots of them complaining about Nordies singing Rangers songs, and saying that they should f**k off back to Ireland etc.

They just don't get it - the staunch, flute-playing, Ulster says no 'culture' that the orange men have, comes directly from Scotland - they should f**k off back to there.

Scots don’t get PUL/Orange culture? That’s a good one, moreover given the fact that an awful lot of their fans - possibly the majority nowadays - are not from that background, and therefore are more than well aware of the antics of those other sh*theads.

You generally won’t see the Tartan Army waving Tri-Colours or singing Celtic songs - that’s the difference between them and some of The Pub Team’s supporters.
