Horrible stuff - seems like such a routine flight path as well.

WTF.

Have Germanwings crashed before?

When it's some obscure Airline over in Asia or Siberia that crashes, it doesn't really affect us however this crash is very close to home.

Flown a few times with them too for Ireland games.
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

Subsidiary of Lufthansa so you'd expect their maintenance procedures to be good

Heading to Cologne on a stag in a few weeks on one of these planes. Used them a few times never had an issue.
Any news what may have caused it?

That's only his opinion.

Coincidentally, my opinion is also that there are no survivors.

It hit rugged landscape apparently, not a soft snowy cushion.
Obviously depends on speed and angle of impact also.

Mayday call at 10.37am......plane was found at 2000 metres in the French Alps in very rugged Terrane, they're saying that they'll find out the cause pretty quickly but it's strange that it continued a rapid dissent all the way to the ground,so there assuming that something drastic happened in the air to make it fall so quickly
