Premier leagues christmas schedule is brilliant if you ask me.
A live game on TV nearly every other day/night.

Hence why it will never change. Even in championship there was games on often and right good games too.

Agreed.

If there was a winter break I reckon most of the English teams would play some friendly game in Dubai / America for the extra revenues.

Should they make the league cup for teams NOT in Europe or just exclude all the premiership teams all together.

Yep spot on as nobody cares about the league cup , so bring in the none league teams also and let them have their day in the sun at Wembley .
Non league teams have the FA Trophy/Vase, Fa Cup Qualifying, 46 League Games before Playoffs. God help the poor PL players that they can't play a few games closely together

Since the inception of the premier league 92-93

Spain have won 10 Champions leagues
Italy have won 5
England have won 4
Germany have won 3

If you look at the RU's
Italy 8
Germany, Spain and England have 5 each

Is the premier league winning its fair share?

What does the manner of Spurs exit from the CL last night say about the quality of the EPL?

I think most who watched the two legs agreed that Spurs were the better team for the vast majority. Even Roy Keane said that last night.
Juve executed a great gameplan, took their goals nicely and defended brilliantly after that.
Spurs were naïve. When they took the lead they should have played like Juve did when they went in front.

Football is and has always been decided on which team scores the most goals.

No sh*t Sherlock.

I was replying to DM's question. I don't think the Spurs-Juve tie raises great concerns about the quality of the EPL.

Not necessarily.
Why do they still toss a coin to decide games LOL

You have penalties - you have to score more than the other team.

You can also win on the away goals rule (oh there's that word again - goals)

Spurs are probably the 4th/5th best team in England
Juve have won the double the last 3 years and won the last 6 league titles.
Been to the champions league final 2 out of the last 3 years.

I'd put them favs over every English team except for City.

Spurs certainly gave a good account of themselves over the two legs but Juve are an experienced side.

England will have at least 3 teams in the 1/4 finals and I expect at least one in the semi's.
Man City could win this.

You could make an argument to say that Spurs are the second best team in England currently and have been the best team over the last 3 years.

You know you don't have to question the quality of the league every time an English team has a bad result in Europe DM
