Liverpool played a German team

Portuguese mustn’t be allowed in UK as Arsenal’s home game tonight was at a neutral venue

Portugal is a red flag country which would of required by law a 14 day stay in a hotel.

On the flipside alot of countries have UK on their red-flag list.

Chelsea, A full 20 points behind leaders, Man City, in the Premier League, easily dispatch Atletico Madrid, 4 points clear at the top of La Liga.

While Liverpool, struggling in the PL after dreadful recent form, similarly dispatched Leipzig, only 4 points behind all-conquering Bayerm, and 6 points clear of the team in 3rd in the Bundesliga.

Have always found this thread pointless but yet amusing somewhat.

Spanish team X beats English team Y = The EPL is fooked, weak as piss and going down the toilet which has been predicted and fantasized about since day 1 on this forum usually by the ones that can't stop following and commenting on it day after day.

One team runs away with the EPL title = Just goes to show how sh*te the quality of the league is.

Two teams have close title challenge throughout the league = Just goes to show the rest of the teams are muck.

4 teams are battling it out for the EPL title = Just goes to show how there's no stand out EPL teams anymore, hence it's a load of sh*te and La Liga is the be all and end all.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

Croatian league must be good.

Plus Greek team beating Arsenal away.

The simplest way to decide is just to look at UEFA's club co-efficients.

English clubs have topped the table twice in the past three seasons, with the other a very close second.

And with 5* of the remaining 16 x CL & EL teams, seem certain to do so for 2020/21.

Chelsea should've been down to ten men and Atletico Madrid should've had a penalty in the first half, which would've changed the whole complexion of the tie.

They also cheated to get an Atletico Madrid player sent off late in the tie (not that it would've mattered).

I also have my doubts that the Giroud goal in the first leg would've went to VAR let alone been given if it was in Atletico Madrid's favour.

We've seen these decisions go in English teams (and Real Madrid)'s favour time and time again. Also see PSG/Man Utd game in the 2018/2019 campaign.

Beyond predictable that Bayern Munich would be drawn against PSG in the Quarter Finals as well.

The English teams are strong enough without UEFA doing their utmost to help them every year.

Why would UEFA do that? (Genuine question)

This thread should be called the rise of the Premier league.

It is a Sky Sports thing. Nobody cares prior to 1992. The Italian league was deemed the strongest at that time, but there was none of this chest-thumping nonsense. Similar to the 'big 5' leagues. It is globalisation, but depressing to hear fans chime in.

Really?

I seem to recall when 'Football Italia' with James Richardson came out on C4, loads were creaming themselves over Serie 'A' and all things Italian, right down to the oh-so-fashionable shirts.

(The corruption, fascist/far-left hooliganism and drug-abuse got lost somewhere along the way, mind)

What makes it the "best"? (Genuine question)
