Yes, I have my reservations about it.

Yes he is the best player in the world, though you could argue Lewandowski and De Bruyne have had better seasons.

His wages won't affect you, where's the problem?

He's about as much on the decline as Ronaldo is. Who's scored 52 goals in 64 games and is 2 years older.

The statistics show if he was in the EPL past 2 years he'd be the best by far and beyond and it's absolutely mental to think otherwise.

Its not a problem. For some reason I just don't think it'll close the gap on Liverpool much or make City favourites to win the league or CL next season or anything like that.

There are areas of the team that need serious investment to get it competing for the title again, this isn't one

IF there's a way City could do it they'd be mad not to regardless of his age. He's still flying and will probably get 2 good seasons out of him at least. Would hate to see it happen of course but he'd make a massive difference in any team. FFP is probably out the window so they may as well do it. Would rather see him at Anfield (zero chance of course) but be great to see him in the PL

Still think he'll stay where he is though if they sort the presidential stuff etc out

If Messi really wants to win the European Cup again Anfield is the obvious place for him

The entire team is set up so that one player can be carried without pressing or working

Currently that player is Salah, although he does more than Messi would in that regard

Messi needs a team at a very high level where the other nine outfield players will work their collective bollixes off so he doesn't have to

That's Liverpool, Bayern Munich would fit the bill too, Qatar don't fit that bill, Juventus would be a disaster for him, Abu Dhabi are treading water in terms of team structure

Barcelona over the last few years have been allowed to turn into a team where there are no workers and thus no structure, it's like they can't believe that the 2009-15 team doesn't have one last kick left, they don't

That Guardiola team worked their collective bollixes off

Massive difference between scoring loads of goals it Italy/Spain than in a physical league like England at his stage of life.

Young players adapt, Messi does not have the time to do that.

Malaga/Getafe away is very different than your Watfords or Bournemouths.

People also forget Messi has massive miles on the clock.

Messi could struggle alright coming up against the likes of Dan Burn and Erik Pieters.

Do you really think Messi would struggle against two English second tier teams?

Well he hasn't proved that he can do it on a cold Wednesday night in Stoke.  Until he plays in the Championship the doubts about his ability will remain.

LOL Good one.

You know what I mean.

The league is more physical and refs wont put up with his constant ahem falling.

Apparently whatever debts have been accrued by the end of his presidency are his responsibility and he'll have to pay them.

Getafe would beat both Bournemouth and Watford. I’m genuinely not sure where this idea the EPL is the best league in the world. La Liga is by quite some distance. The middle teams are better than those in England, they just don’t have the British press behind them. Betis Etc would beat your Sheffield United’s week in, week out.
Messi is the best player in the world, I’d hate to see him at City. I personally still believe if he does leave it’ll be to PSG they haven’t filled their star player media grabber since Zlatan left.

The top teams in La Liga wouldn’t beat the top teams in the EPL at the minute
So how do u judge?

20 mythical games and see which league would win more?

4th on Spain beat 3rd in England less than two weeks ago. Spanish league is vastly superior.
