No it isn't. Top leagues have VAR. Other leagues don't.have. Wrong calls on the pitch such as last night, make them a farce. Same goes for the international game. There were some outrageous decisions allowed to stand in the World Cup Qualifiers, and it was a disgrace that even in the best stadiums, there was no technology available.

Flags have always gone up in favour of defenders. It's like challenging goalkeepers at corners. The whistle is always going to go, they're always going to get the benefit of the doubt, and it's usually the wrong decision.

VAR has no place in football. None.
Turning the game into a corporate wankfest of endless discussion , and ridiculous pauses in matches.

People have discussed football since it started. In the age of 24/7 sport, it is endless.

VAR is essential in football, hence why more and more leagues and competitions are using it, as they can see the benefits of the correct decision outweigh the consequences of the wrong one.

it’s getting nothing but bad press from the epl fans, constant offsides called for players being millimetres off or having an arm beyond the imaginary var line.it’s f**king crap. And has no place anywhere near football.

Tonights game might be more difficult than it seems on paper. I'd take any victory to be honest. Deccy under pressure to get a result.

The imaginary line is the real line involving the relevant players. Millimetres matter at the highest level of sport, and they have to be scrutinised. If it takes a few minutes, good. It's better than the alternative.

The alternative is Serbia v Portugal and the Henry incidents, among the worst decisions in the history of the game. Once we have VAR in operation, we cannot go back to the bad old days, no matter what the press think. Sadly we don't have it in the LOI yet, so there will always be teams robbed and seasons wrecked because of wrong decisions made, and the league will always be viewed as a joke until VAR is available, as it is in every other top league in the world.

Officials are still making multiple wrong decisions with VAR

8 points from 12, still unbeaten while trying to gel a team with several new players and the loss of others bodes well for season. Look forward to the team moving into 3rd gear as it develops...
