The more I look at the Flores goal the better it is. I’m trying to think of another goal where the leg got so high from that standing position , f**ker should be in gymnastics

Good 3 points, disappointed conceding 2 soft goals (two great finishes aside),poor organisation for the first and poor attempt by Lopes for the second. As Byrne said afterwards it'll mean little if it's not built on next week in Sligo. Think Scales is going to be a top player. I can see him going all the way. Meant to add a good point today for the kids.

He won’t be fazed by the magnitude of the game and just because he’s playing here doesn’t mean he can’t influence an international match. We’d be raving about his goal if it wasn’t for...

- That Flores goal!!! f**k me!!! That will be nominated for a Puskas award. The technique was outrageous. Probably the best goal I’ve ever seen live

- Pitch invaders... This is a real problem with Rovers and it has been through out the Tallaght decade if were being honest. Club needs to start issuing bans. A small sour note on what was a fantastic night PR wise for the LOI

That's it in a nutshell.

Brilliant goals and some excellent football played in the best ground in the league on TV.  Can't ask for much more than that from the league's perspective.

Its been a good start which will no doubt heighten expectations.
Just had a look back at corresponding fixtures for season and Rovers are 8 points better off which can only be positive.

Dunno whether this podcast can be accessed outside of the UK, but Colin Murray has a one hour interview with Michael O'Neill here:

Non-Norn Iron fans may find it very hero-worshipping and adulatory etc, but Shams fans should at least appreciate the early part, where Michael talks about his time in Tallaght etc.

Brilliant stuff from southwest Dublin county council.
Would be great if other councils could invest into infrastructure in a similar way.

Yep, even more so after the result in El Paso tonight. Win tomorrow and the pressure is all on them. Thought Pats were good tonight...good win for Sligo earlier as well

Good always had a soft spot for Rovers a good mate of mine supports them and I try and take in their games if I can when I'm in Dublin.

seems like it is really Rovers league to lose. Jack Byrne looking good, but wonder if he’ll stay the whole season.
