I looked at the ddsl rules didn't realise they moved to summer football. If he's playing U17 ddsl he can transfer to LOI in June and if he's playing at a younger age he can transfer to another league in their transfer window so he's OK. His club cannot refuse his request for a transfer been there done that
Bring him down south if you have any problems best of luck don't like hearing parents saying club might not give a transfer that sh*te still going on.

Yeah summer football started in March this year and ends in October/November this year , he is currently signed up until then, thanks for your reply because i thought he would need a release form and i wasn't sure if his current club would block it because he is still signed to them.

All players are free agents at the end of May and can sign for LOI in June. Is the DDSL league not finished this season as all others are?

He doesn't need a release form sign from his ddsl club either that's been done away with he only needs a release if he wants to move during a season from one ddsl club to another but before Oct 15. When are the ddsl moving to summer football?

Folks , can someone answer this question ?
Can a DDSL player that is currently signed to a DDSL club transfer to a league of Ireland club when the League of Ireland transfer window opens or can his current club block this as he is signed until the end of the season to them.

No money in that....

Was inevitable that the schoolboy clubs would protect their 'assets'. It's interesting how personal he is taking it.
it's nothing personal,I know full well the ins and outs of our schoolboy game.

So up to u13 gets zero monies?
So a kid could be at a club from academy to u12,and that club would just get a "thank you very much"?

So this kid signs for Rovers from Malahide in January. He is now moving on to Sheffield Wednesday.
Two questions:
1) Roughly what is the compensation involved here?
2) What are Malahide entitled to?
The 4 years from u13 to u16 are taken into account and divided pro rata to the clubs where he was signed.

ie My club will receive from Ipswich Town 25% of all compo for the 1 year a certain player played for us and another schoolboy club receives 75%.
