There's more to it than just not given him money because of a statement, there's one reason or it's the biggest reason that anybody who has gotten involved for a short period of time and left again or didn't bother getting involved altogether and it's because Pat O'Sullivan is a nightmare to work with. Unless you're gaining something financially from him then nobody wants to work with him or end up realising quickly he's a nightmare to work with.

Not sure what goes on in his head, players not been paid since their March wages and it doesn't look hopeful for the future with April's wages due next week. Only way the club can survive now is if he walks away.
