yea I agree, can't see mourinho allowing that to happen. far more chance of courtois going to RM, especially if the rumours of conte heading back to Italy are true

I read that they have 3 options in mind
De Gea, Courtois or Lloris Out of those 3 I'd say the most likely to leaver their respective club would be Lloris would have to be a decent offer but if Real offered say 30-40m Spurs would most likely sell. |

Has these "rumours" said why he wants to go back? He has already managed Italy and Juve and life must be great for him right now at Chelsea. TBH I can see De Gea going to Real Madrid at some point. Man U would be crazy to let him go but if he wants to follow his dream of playing for RM you can't stop him.

English newspapers - only England that has the best keepers in the world! I'm sure they will be looking at keepers in other leagues too.

It was newspaper talk that Inter might target him to take over next season.
No chance IMO

Of course, but if you were to rate the top 5 keepers in World football would those 3 not be there? |

Lloris is better than De Gea and Courtois imo, and I'm an Arsenal fan.

Lloris is almost certainly one of the top five keepers in the world at the moment - one dodgy game against City doesn't change that. Interestingly it is Courtois who has been linked with Real the most though.

If anyone was to drop out of that top 5 above there it would be Courtois IMO.
I'd have De Gea and Lloris ahead of him in England

I'd have Lloris in the top 2, never mind top 5.
Generally think sweeper keeper's offer alot more than the standard orthodox keeper - Not just the shot stopping but the high pressing play and offer to quickly counter-attack.

absolutely, he's a very good keeper. but it's guaranteed that they'll go for a new keeper. sure they were only too happy to throw him in the deal for DDG a couple of years back.

ah the usual rumours of 'homesick', 'family want to return to italy', 'unfinished business vs juve' etc whatever the English media want to churn out. has DDG ever said his dream was to play for RM? considering he grew up playing at atleti since he was 13 and was quoted as saying 'starting in calderon stadium has been my dream since childhood' I find it hard to believe its his dream to play for RM unless he's doing a Robbie keane. |

OK arguments for and against each of the keepers
De Gea- Spanish number one, like perhaps Neuer at Bayern the number one keeper should be seen to play for the best team in the country. Would Man United sell? Another pro he wanted to go last time but time ran out I really do think he only signed his contract extension with United with the promise if Real meet his valuation he can go, what that valuation is who knows Courtois- The youngest of the 3 will improve as keeper, Family still in Madrid so may want to move back. Lloris- World class keeper, the oldest of the four but at 30 still young for a keeper, offers leadership abilities and is adept at the sweeper keeper role given Real high pressing would suit their style. Wouldn't be the cheaper option of the 3. Unlike the above two hasn't played in Spain so may need time to settle there. |
