Sky after gaining exclusive rights to The Open from 2017. Mark Roe and Colin Montgomerie instead of Ken Brown and Peter Allis

Peter Alliss is the best golf commentator bar none.
He should be allowed stay on until he wants to quit. No forced retirement for him (until he says something undeniably racist, sexist or homophobic of course, in which case the BBC will shunt him off to an old folks' home). |

Is this about the size of things with sport on TV that no event will be safe from the clutches of Sky etc. I thought governments were able to put laws in place to protect certain major events.

The beeb at their best, censure Frankie Boyle for bluntly highlighting racism, give Clarkson another few bob for actual racism. Meanwhile they will highlight all wars in the middle east in a far and egalitarian manner.

I was watching the darts the other day and was saying that all these sports been covered solely by subscription channels is good for these smaller sports that'll get more coverage.
