Dont know why he detests him. I just know it for a fact.

Fairly simple, Kerr is a man who has dedicated a lot of his career to the League of Ireland and is vocal about its neglect, Delaney views the league that produced Coleman, McClean, Hoolahan, Long, Ward, Meyler to name a few as a virus to be eradicated. Sure why would we want to produce our own players anyway

Absolutely. Another fine piece of work by the dear leader...

Looking to replace the Olympic gig with another equally cushy number?

14 candidates, 8 seats.

All these would seem shoe ins at face value anyway:

Boniek - former Juventus player and head of Polish FA
David Gill - former Vice president of UEFA and CEO of Man Utd
Reinhard Grindel - President of German FA
Marios N Lefkaritis - FIFA council member
Michele UVA - Italian FA
Michael Van Praag - VP of FIFA

That leaves 2 sits for JD to compete for.

I won the Player of the Century award thanks to the people.Pele was second. He also came second behind Aryton Senna as Brazil's greatest sportsman. The award FIFA gave Pele isn't worth sh*t - Maradona

It would be a really bad indictment of FIFA if a candidate of the calibre of Delaney got a role a gig at UEFAs top table. Just shows you the level of politicking involved.

under new regs to be voted on at the April conference the exco members must be "active" within their national FAs. Only one of the 8 members of the current exco up for re election meets that criteria

that is sort of my point. its all politics as his football credentials don't really stand up to much

I think the point is that change has been initiated. No one is questioned the merits of the FA.

But, as you say, whether change comes is another question
