Signed contracts

Worth nil.

What is binding about it?

What are potential repercussions if they renege?

If they are still in it we wont get 11%. I'll put money on it. And then the usual suspect will blame the Welsh. Deja vu

How exactly ?
I was at one of those 3 : For Bosnia, I was away with work so couldn't make it. For Serbia, I had no holidays left having already used a load at the Euros so given I had to make a choice, I chose Moldova.

By your crude calculations, I'm not a regular away traveller.

I use myself as an example, nothing else - Am sure there will have been a number of people who may not have been able to make some or all of the three you mention so similar reasons given the circumstances (One being a playoff and the others following a tournament summer).

That doesn't mean there are only 900 total.

It's 2,300 tickets across three games. If we assume that some people went to all three games, some went to two and some went to one game, let's say 250 went to all three, 400 went to two of the three and 750 went to at least one of the three.... that's 1,400 total people.

Obviously the figures aren't 100% accurate but it does mean there are more than 900 total people who went to any one of those games. Whatever way you cut it, there were plenty more than 900 different people at those games.

And that's even leaving aside the Austria game, or those heading to Georgia.

What about the 2000 members of the confederation, what is they all want to go?
What if the 1000 fd all want to go? And we haven't even mentioned thuse who are not members.

There is no way everyone in the 40% will be satisfied. Seen a post here which states FAI said SCs have 2000 STs.
The problem is I cannot find anywhere how many STH are in FD. To the best of my knowledge at this time our 40% is 1400 for CCS and this is split between STs in SCs and FD.
For maths sake and laziness say FD have 2000 STs so 700 each.
Last season split was 61/39 in SCs favour.

Those who are not members of FD or SCS may hope their football club can get them sorted other it will be Abbey Travel for them.

Now we know that there are away regulars who buy tickets off the home nation because they hate the FAI for whatever reason and don't want to give them €€.

Some bragged about this like a kid trying to impress their friends on this forum. They knew this day was coming when they started down this road. As they don't buy STs Match tickets in their name for home games and have no away points they don't deserve a ticket through the FAI.
Hopefully they will be able to get sorted by the Welsh.

You are correct.

I supported the FAI financially from 1979 to 2012.

Then I copped on.

How can you use them figures to back up a debate on number of away regulars

1 was a playoff with very little time to arrange travel etc

1 was a game in Belgrade 10 weeks after the euros

1 was a game in Chisinau 14 weeks after the euros

Alot of fans could only do 1 out of the 3 aways after the euros and choose Vienna as that game so why is that not included in the figures?

I'd call myself a regular at away games and only attended 1 of the 3 games you listed due to number of reasons (missed playoff due to starting new job and choose to miss serbia as could only do 2 of the 3 after the euros) and I'm sure there is many more like me in that regard. You would need to include Vienna etc to get a true reflection on numbers
the closest i will ever come to playing for ireland https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0_7w4JyvI4

Is Shane Ross actually going to challenge Delaney on implementing the Genesis report or are we being served up more big talk?
