Well Said. Real reform looks like a real possibility. There's a lot of old guard on that council, and it's badly in need of reform.
Congrats to White Cafu

Good news. I still think their statement is petty:, I.e rather than admit they were wrong and apologise, they say 'this action has been taken by them as a gesture in sport and is not to be regarded as an admission that Mr. Downes was treated unfairly by the CDSL.”.
It shows that a lot of the old guard still remain.

It's very unsatisfactory and frustrating that it had to be done by email ballot but completely understandable in the circumstances. A show of hands would have spoken volumes. We would have liked the opportunity to ask questions and get as much information as possible, there is still a degree of uncertainty but I do feel the current board are trying to do the right thing and this was the only show in town.

Correct me if I’m wrong but when they separated this vote from the vote on the reforms that are stipulated in the government’s package, this vote was never going to be voted down. If the reforms are voted down next month (if EGM goes ahead as planned) what happens the rescue package?

Even had that meeting gone ahead yesterday, the only agenda item was the restructuring of the Bank overdraft. That had to be done by council vote. The government and UEFA elements are seperate. The rule changes required can only be changed at an AGM or EGM which is a different, larger voting block. We're potentially still disenfranchised on that as we were never added to that list. Would hope that a motion can be passed adding us to that list before any other votes and will be persuing that. I assume that if the reforms are voted down then the government funding will be shut off a the minimum. Again, will be seeking clarity.

Good piece. It’s remarkable those that those that were pivotal in the dying embers of the Delaney reign; I.e. Cathal Dervan, still resides in Abbottsown. Sickening. The FAI atop brass need to get rid. And get rid quick.

Auld JD making a complaint to the DPC as the FAI haven't provided him with copies of the personal information they hold on him from his time in the organisation.

So unbelievably selfish of Quinn and the new board to only focus on the 65 million debt that JD left behind, and the endless pension pay-offs for the old guard. Poor Del Boy must be fuming at his mistreatment

It was the Sunday Independent and a couple of lines of buffoonery... Apparently the Aviva stadium would never have happened without Delaney!!!!! In other news, the Sunday Times reporting today that Delaney and Michael Cody refused to interview for Mazars and Delaneys ex bird received payments of €95k - none of which she claims to have received barring €10k. She also claims to have done no work for the Association.... Please god the ODCE investigation brings some sort of charges against him. As Dunphy said; Delaney wasn’t all bad...

A €60k payment from FAI accounts to his girlfriend's accountant as a match agents fee. And the payments were approved by the CEO and a number of senior members of the board. The arrogance of the ***t. He has to get jail. And Conway and others saying they didnt know the extent of it ... they should be in the cell along with him. And some of these jokers still in the FAI. Stomach is turning.

In fairness to her she only received €10,000 so where did the rest go?

I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
