This is the bit I don't get about the forum.

Fella throws his opinion up and lads attack, pass smart comments.

We are all raging > does it matter if you threw a tennis ball, are part of protest or did nothing?

Seriously I don't get it. Lads are entitled to be pissed off and vent - why does it get personal FFS.

Don't like a comment > don't answer or antagonise a fella in to a response and then mock him for said response.

Confused

The last 4 or 5 pages have been the same old. Draw a line.

Hans thinks the payoff was a bad idea. Some agree with him.

A lot of other lads think it was the only option, although nobody LIKES that he got a payout.

Draw a line under it. The whole situation is a f**king mess and bickering is not going to help anybody.

The big news today is this shower have declined to come before the Oireachtas committee today. An absolute joke.
They finally did it man... They killed my f**kin' car...

Delaney would be thrilled with himself if he thought he could cause such rancour on the forum.

You use the word attack.  Surely his comments about others would also be considered attack also.  Why portray him ad a victim.

by the way the key lesson for the future board and for all.sporting orgs is that there enough members of the board who have nothing to lose by asking tough questions of the CEO.  I.e. they need to be independent and not rely on the ceo for executive decisions.

I presume when the new board is established it will be on a rotation system i.e nobody in charge for more than a few years at a time

Great idea.

We could call it Genesis !!!

It would be a first for Genesis to come after an Exodus.

Which itself will surely come after you've seen all the Numbers.

Then it will be time for the Judges.

Again, I'd ask how do you know what I may or may not have done? For all you know I'm the snitch who fed Mark Tighe info. For all you know I'm the ginger lad doing the social circle magazine stuff with John Delaney. For you know, they were my Donnay tennis balls that kick started huge media commentary last March.

The condescension on here is something else.

Ah here Hans you can’t be taking credit for MC Hammered’s tennis ball protest.

From a mod, on a thread about how the FAI is essentially bankrupt due to John Delaney and the FAI boards actions. Sweet suffering jaysus. That is embarrassing, even for you Bob.
Whats being a mod got to do with anything? Is Bob and the rest of us not entitled to post as individuals and express our own personal opinions as such?

Genuinely no idea what you're on about. Comments I made on this thread are on topic. Today, after I made one comment on topic again, I was asked by a mod for proof of things I've done for the betterment of Irish football or else my comments mustn't carry any weight I'm guessing is the angle he's going for. It was absolutely bizarre, completely off topic and utter nonsense.

Fair play to Bob and his bicycle protest. Fair play to the lads who threw tennis balls. Fair play to Mark Tighe and the whistleblower in the FAI. None of these actions mean that your comments on this thread are more worthy or more sensible than other posters comments. Why not take the comments for what they are, and pick the actual comments themselves apart if people are in disagreement? Wouldn't that be a better use of the forum?

As for the other numerous contributions after Bob that were completely off topic, embarrassing.

Amazing that on a day the new FAI has basically shown itself up again to be exactly like the old FAI, this is the discourse on here. Fair play to the few posters who have actually mentioned the FAIs refusal of an invitation to the Oireachtas. Another desperate day for the FAI and no doubt this will just run and run. Death by a thousand cuts. I really hope a new football organization springs up out of this entire mess.
"I called him an embarrassment to FIFA and to himself," .... He said 'No-one speaks to me like that'.... and I said, "well I do' and that was that."
