Every last cent should have been accounted for. Questions need to be asked of every last individual who supported Conways election

Dan McDonnell mentioned it on Off The Ball there and Johnny Ward raised the very poignant issue here - this has not gotten the traction it deserved.
This is absolutely scandalous. Money for disabled kids unaccounted for. What a legacy

Don't forget JD staying in Ritz at 8k a night whilst the women's team are changing in toilets at the airport.

Over 6 months since Delaney stepped down as CEO. Where are these reports? I wonder will they release a couple of them Christmas week. Seems the best bet I'd say.
John Delaney packets a nice payoff despite running the FAI into the ground ( they would be bankrupt without the UEFA intervention I'm presuming). All the while, when Delaney was getting special feathered pillows in the Ritz Carlton for 8k a night on the FAI credit card, he was telling Colm Young that the budget for the Football For All Programme was 80k per annum, not the 212k now being reported. A programme that supports disabled footballers consistently being left short, and nobody in the FAI has answers around the unaccounted for monies. Disgusting doesn't even begin to describe what is going on. Fair play to Colm Young for speaking out. Delighted to read the last 2 paragraphs of the article as well. It is absolutely despicable that John Delaney was paid a severance package. Rotten to the f*cking core that decision was.

"I called him an embarrassment to FIFA and to himself," .... He said 'No-one speaks to me like that'.... and I said, "well I do' and that was that."

So Toplion withholding €1m from the FAI over the Sports Direct fiasco and the Sunday Times going after JD for unpaid legal fees following his failed attempt to injunct back in March. Wouldn’t mind but the prick was getting away with only €27k for the Times fees as they used an in house solicitor and only one barrister for the hearing.

And still fans will say he was great for Irish football. That’s some list he’ll have on his legacy including screwing over disabled kids and making a mockery of cyber bullying. Ah sure I’ve no disabled kids and I don’t use the internet, what harm.

I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

There’s a certain large Dublin based club that occasionally release statements organise informal get togethers and the like always had a direct line to the FAI maybe they could be asked ?

Some devotees in cults will always deny wrongdoing by their leader no matter what evidence is produced and no different with some of the devotees involved in the JD cult. There was a rumour in Waterford that the Great Leader was going to invest in Waterford FC, I went on the Blues Supporters Club Facebook and questioned the validity of it. I was abused by a poster who is very prominent in football media circles in Waterford using disgusting language and telling me where to go. This devotee of the Dear Leader refuses to believe any impropriety by the Dear Leader and there are many more like him.

This is the lowest of the low. Misappropriating monies which were meant for the Irish fans / football players that are amongst the most vulnerable.
I am honestly nearly sick reading that. Part of me, when I have heard all the expenses, salaries, botched commercial deals, ego boosts of Delaney has had a miniscule element of admiration for being able to pull the wool. The Irish chancer. Cute hoor. Latest in a long line after Haughey and Bertie. But incorrectly using government money to help develop disabled players is the lowest of the low. These players don't sit separately from us. They are part of us, our brothers and sisters, they just need a bit of extra help to get to the same level as us. And Delaney is withholding that help from them. By attacking our most vulnerable he is attacking all of us. Pressure is on each of us to do what we can, and most of us do what we can. But when the funds are already there and are withheld. That's not just a case of not doing your best. That's actively worsening our disabled members' lots. I can't believe that more hasn't been made of this. People should be shouting from the rafters about this. Where is the rest of the media? Shame on John Delaney and those in the FAI who were complicit in this. Shame.
