I read the piece.  Just showed how desperate JDFAI was to try and get sponsorship money upfront to give the impression all was rosy in the FAI finances. Desperate measures.  Looks like he shat on the existing sponsor of 25 years to jump into bed with Sports Direct.

And now it has to be paid back. There may also be the case that Sports Direct finances aren't rosy either.

Interesting reading between the lines of the FAI spokesperson who claims that if John was still around he would ring up Mike Ashley and get it sorted. So it's the fault of those who ousted the great John?

Mike Ashley and Himself do a great job of the Wolfe tones greatest hits with herself on backing vocals. Seriously  how can Conway and Earley stay on their positions now. Top lion have a case if they want to take one. Debt free by 2060 anyone

I'm delighted I haven't given these clowns a cent for a number of years now.

Until supporters do something worthwhile, nothing will change - holding protest banners or throwing tennis balls while at the same time financially supporting the disgraceful regime is not worthwhile.

Stop financially supporting the fai - until enough people stop, nothing is going to change going forward

It's a disgrace. Staff in there only finding out this sort of stuff in the media as well. Shambolic stuff.

It's precisely this sort of stuff that needed to be out in the open before a new board was elected. When was Conway made aware of it, for example? No doubt Earley will just say it has nothing to do with the schoolboys. Christ knows how much more of this sort of thing will be dripfed out. Impossible to move on with reform until all this is out there.

I wonder who in the FAI internal legal department signed off on this deal of the century?
