There should be a 25/30 cap in the EFL.

Think I paid £28 to get into a Blackburn match last year which I didn't think was too bad.

£28 is a lot of money, especially in a town like Blackburn where money can be tight and when there is no guarantee of entertainment. That’s the price of a night in the pub( there anyway, not where I am!), an Indian or a ticket to see a band, all what a certain amount of expected enjoyment.
Also, add in bringing a kid etc. and it really isn’t cheap. They are flogging their own fans and not encouraging new ones. I bet there wasn’t too many in there twenties there.

Rochdale charged Sunderland £27 for tickets earlier this season a £5 increase from last season!

It really bugs me when you see 1/2 empty stadiums in the championship etc
Surely they can do something for the locals and give them last minute tickets on the cheap or to the local schools.
I know the risk is they may sell them on but you can always find ways to stop this. Check ticket to ID etc

That's pretty extortionate for the standard of football you'd get at Blackburn and for the economy of the area

Why should outsiders (League or fans etc) tell a club what they must charge?

If a well-supported team like Leeds can still attract 30k+ fans at, say, £35 a pop, why should they be held back on account of smaller clubs who cannot charge nearly so much?

It's not as if anyone imposes a minimum price i.e. clubs may charge as low as they like if they think that will attract extra fans, thereby maintaining overall revenues - eg Bradford City.

(I'm taking about home fans here - there is a sound case for saying that away ticket prices should never exceeed home ticket prices)

Season ticket for under 25s is £150 there . I'm not sure if Blackburn are the same but I used to go to Elland road when leeds were in L1. If you bought in advance it was £12 cheaper than buying on the day.

That’s a great incentive alright. Most clubs are cheaper if you buy in advance.

6 goals in that game and a bar in the stadium (beat Sheff Wed 4=2), wasn't bad. They have a cracker ground to be fair. Probably a legacy from their premier league days.

I can see how it would be considered expensive, I am sure there is more value to be had in their season tickets for the regulars though. As a one off for me I thought it was okay.

kicker.de had an article on the prices before the season started.

The minimum Bayern price has only limited availability (poss for repeat holders, members and / or in fan clubs). The best part is that they are the ones who piss off Hoeness the most. He complains that it is too cheap. (Maybe they don't buy any of his wurst at the games)

Paderborn may have had the largest increase after promotion. Small stadium and increased costs for operating in the top division (more security, facilities for press and corporate etc)
