Daylight robbery more like! You can argue they knew what they were getting into, but it is bad form all the same.

Well, 54,000 tickets sold so it doesn't sound like many people agree with you.
SOS lobbied the club to reduce prices and they did it in consultation with Shrewsbury.
Whether they agree with me or not you have missed the point, presumably deliberately.

Sheffield Wednesday have launched a season-ticket plan that guarantees fans a seat for 10 years after their next promotion to the Premier League.

The '10-year season ticket', described by the Championship club as "completely innovative", will cost up to £6,400.

Confusingly, the ticket will be valid for a minimum of 15 years.

But the longer it takes for Wednesday to return to the top flight - where they last played in 2000 - the longer the multi-year ticket will be valid.

A limited number of the tickets will be made available - to adults only - with the cheapest priced at £4,550 for the Hillsborough Kop, which is behind the goal, and the most expensive at £6,400 for the two-tier South Stand, which runs along the side of the pitch.

Fans will be able to use the tickets from the start of next season.

No doubt the Torries and the right wing Brittish press  will hammer him on this.

Spot on Jezza.

Jeremy Corbyn has spoken of his admiration for the German model of football fan club ownership as he went into detail about Labour’s plans to give supporters influence over how their teams are run.

Labour had previously committed to ensuring that the Premier League invests 5% of its income from television rights in the grassroots game and enforcing legislation designed to stop ticket tout websites inflating prices.

But the party’s leader used a podcast interview with When Saturday Comes to put pressure on Premier League clubs to do more about high ticket prices, which he says are pricing out working-class communities, and supporting grass roots football.

“I get very frustrated about the cost of football, the cost of going to matches, the cost of season tickets and the way in which working-class communities are almost priced out of it, particularly in the Premier League clubs,” said Corbyn, an Arsenal fan.

“I understand the issues of players’ wages and the costs involved. But we want 5% of Premier League income to be spent on lower division football, so not Championship, League One and League Two but lower than that: grassroots football.”

Corbyn also said fans’ voices needed to be heard on club boards, adding that Labour would make provision for registered fans’ organisations to elect two directors for every club.

kicker.de had an article on the prices before the season started.

The minimum Bayern price has only limited availability (poss for repeat holders, members and / or in fan clubs). The best part is that they are the ones who piss off Hoeness the most. He complains that it is too cheap. (Maybe they don't buy any of his wurst at the games)

Paderborn may have had the largest increase after promotion. Small stadium and increased costs for operating in the top division (more security, facilities for press and corporate etc)
