Loan to Blackpool has been cut short due to injury, unfortunately.

http://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/soccer/injury-ends-lenihan-loan-299792.html

Forgotten man Kevin Foley has gone there on loan from Wolves as his replacement.

Young Charles Dunne from the U-21s has been getting game-time for Blackpool this season as well, at left-back.

Was just coming to post something on this. His debut: http://m.hulldailymail.co.uk/Brian-Lenihan-line-surprise-Hull-City-debut/story-29199580-detail/story.html
You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

Due to persistent knee injuries, Brian has virtually not kicked a ball in the last year and is unfortunately out of contract in the summer.

Out of contract in a few months I believe, you'd have to think it's unlikely he'll be kept on especially with a new manager in place.

Being linked with a move home in the papers,he would be a great signing for City but I expect a L1/L2 team will offer him a better contract.

You'd wonder why, how many times has he kicked a ball this season?

He's going to need to have a fantastic pre season, getting relegated can only be a good thing to him personally.

He is hardly kicked a ball at all, mainly because he is just back from a serious injury that they are carefully managing. I didn't think they would take the risk but they clearly feel he deserves a chance to get fit before letting him go.
