Arter is quite well known for his charity work and because of the response to his child dying a few years back.
You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

Turkish tabloids love linking random players to anywhere at all, even more than the English rags.

There's been a market for British/Irish players in Greece and Turkey going back to at least the 90s.

Ian Daly played under Hector Cuper in Greece. Liam Lawrence played in Greece. Robbie Keane turned down Besiktas before going to LA Galaxy. John McGrath had a move to a Turkish 2nd tier team fall through at the last moment. Roy Keane was linked to the Kasimpasa managerial role.

Then you had Ronnie Whelan managing in Greece even further back.

Richie Towell has offers from Poland and turkey when he chose brighton apparently. Always curious what teams from those countries made offers

Watching the game on sky here. Harry's got terrible posture. Will suffer in later life. That tells you how bad the game has been LOL

Our View: Harry Arter failing to live up to early hype at Nottingham Forest

In fact, the only list of any statistic on Who Scored where Arter sits in the top five is when it comes to adding up cautions. His three are bettered only by Tobias Figueiredo who will now serve a suspension after collecting his fifth on Saturday.

In news that will surprise nobody, he's been told he can leave by Chris Hughton.

May not play again this season after Forest failed to shift him in January.

Arter really has gone on a downfall. Was vital to Bournemouth at one stage. now can't get a game.

I share Kenny's belief that there is a player there. Personally, I prefer him to Hourihane and Cullen but this past season at club level has done him no favours.

You'd have to wonder how long more Arter would be interested in playing for Ireland. Got 3 mins against Andorra and no game time against Hungary. With Kenny looking at youth will he see himself surplus to requirements. 31 years of age now too.

Yeah not great. I thought he might have started last night and kept expecting him to come on for a run. Strange one.

Lack of game time probably taken into account. He hasn't been playing at Forest and needs to make his next move the right one for what's left of his career.

Why would he in all fairness? He’s played very little football most of the season. He was ok against Finland nations league game but wasn’t involved in March and probably unlikely to be if Hendrick, Browne, Brady are fit in September. It was a training camp to see how players would fair out after all.

My opinion is that perhaps Harry asked to be involved with a view to keeping himself in shape and also to show his commitment...he’s probably glad to join up with the lads after being frozen out at forest. And if he gets a move or back into the forest team his loyalty will be remembered....I might be completely wrong of course.
