There’s a few cracking names in that squad. Ramon Martos started against Poland during the week

The Irish goal living a charmed life here how the poles havn't scored in this second half I'll never know. 0-0 (61 mins gone)

And with that Ireland take the lead on 69min

Poland had a chance with a close range header aroudn 75m that was easier to score
Nice finish from close range from Umeh to take the lead, only a few yards out but the keeper was on top of him so he didn't have a lot of space to aim at
All goals, red & yellow cards posted on mastodon and facebook

Tom Cannon makes the bench today. Is that his first match day squad in a league game?

Think so, Irish eligible perkins on bench for leeds, Sinclair Armstrong back on bench for QPR, Dunne back in first team there.

Coventry doesn't make West Ham bench, Doherty and Coleman both back on the bench. Bazunu and Travers keep their places.

Do we have a thread on the U18 category?
Don't believe so as it's not competitive?

Anyway, we've put together a strong-looking squad for a tourney this week in Croatia...check it out:

To add, Vatta not released by Celtic.

Stong squad - think Vata is off to Oz with the first team.

Pool didn't release him for the U17 qualifiers, so maybe it's the same again here.

Surprised the U21s didn't have a camp. I know they've got March and next summer to get camps going but might have been a chance to get lads who are eligible in to train.

Perkins is gonna be a player but very highly regarded by Enlgand. Doubt it is a go'er for Ireland.
What is the connection, anyone know?

Edit: It is his dad. ex Ireland youth player

His father played for our U21s. His father is English born so there could be a chance the young lad is a generation out.

While Ferguson continues to attract all the attention, young Moran continues to impress at underage level for Brighton and he has also made the bench (as has young LB Furlong) for the Senior team in recent weeks. Just turned 19 and another 2 goals last night. Proper tricky creative attacking midfielder.

Went looking expecting that to be something about him declaring for Albania. It's fair to say that's not what the tweet is about...

Hopefully complete bullsh*t or hugely exaggerated at a minimum.
