Had a nice time watching Joe Hodge, Nathan Fraser (u19 squad) and Lee Harkin for Wolves u21. (and Connor Ronan who is sadly being wasted in th3 u21s for match fitness scored a cracker of a goal)

Hodge was classy as ever, played deep dictating play put in some tasty challenges and sprayed the ball around. Lee Harkin played on the right of a front 3, he's a fun player to watch quick and skilful but with excellent tenacity. Nathan Fraser is one of my favourite Wolves u21s a proper no9 did a great job holding the ball up he's a big lad for 17 but can play a bit too and he scored a proper poachers goal which was great to see our first team 'forwards' could learn a thing or two. Ermm

Here's Trent's goals. Now that Parrot isn't going to happen, the last teenager we were this excited about, we should put all our hopes on this lad.

Wait will he even play for Ireland or could he represent someone else? The North?

I doubt he'll end up playing for NI.

Derry lads usually end up playing for The Republic. Gibson, McClean, Duffy, etc.

Hopefully Trent Kone Docherty turns out to be the real deal. Sadly we've seen countless lads rip it up at youth level and fail to amount to anything

Interesting to see Brighton there. Tony Bloom also owns Union SG who are one of the top sides in Belgium atm. Could use them to sign Curtis before he's 18.

The U16s won the Victory Shield today with a 4-1 win over Scotland. Drew 2-2 with Wales and won 5-4 on penalties with Joe Collins saving two penalties. Drew 1-1 with NI and won 3-1 on penalties with Marcus Gill out doing Collins with three penalty saves.

17 year old Nathan Fraser on the bench for Wolves today alongside Joe Hodge. Little to no chance he plays at all but good experience for him and a nice reward for having a really good game for the u21s a few days ago.

Eoin Toal and Wm Hondermarck make bench today after long absences for Bolton and barnsley respectively. Is Toal still eligible for us or is he tied to the North?

The young Irish lads at MK Dons having a field day today, albeit against non-league opposition. Devoy, Burns and Grant have all scored. And Grant with a second just now.

Open Goal Broomhill - a football team literally named after a podcast.

To be fair the Celtic B experience has probably been more useful to Vata than to the other Irish players who have ended up there, he's got some first team experience at a very young age, albeit at a low level. This probably needs to be the last season for him there though in terms of his development and - as he's unlikely to break into the Celtic first team by next season - it's maybe time for him to move on.

Just not convinced a move to one of the big Italian teams is the way to go, their youth development records tend to be every bit as bad as Celtic's.

Derby were 0.2 up when he was sent off, key detail there.

Yep, cost them big time, conceded a pen that earned him the red which they converted. Cashin is having a great season, but he messed up today!
