I really want this lad to succeed as our goalkeeping options aren’t great. I saw the highlights and he was poor . As someone said here he needs to build his confidence but if he’s dropped I really fear for him going forward. Even though he’s very young for a keeper I’m just not sure he has what it takes

Yeah, if he's dropped next game it feels like a verdict on him there at Bournemouth.

I feel he just needs to make 2 or 3 really good saves in a game to get him going and get the confidence needed. At the moment any shot in his direction looks like it could end up in the net.

In training I heard that he's like a spider monkey and a great reaction keeper.

I think the seriousness of the mistake is being exaggerated, it was bad but it happens to every keeper at some stage. The ball bounces in front of them and then get caught in two minds between smoothering the ball or knocking it away.

If I'm not mistaken, he's started four games and had gaffes in three of them. I think people may have gotten carried away on the basis of a strong debut against Tottenham. I have my doubts he'll make it at this level, but hey, I'm rooting for him.

Farting or shagging?

I expected an absolute howler, but it was an awkward one. He should have saved it, certainly, but he isn't Massimo Taibi either!

This is exactly correct. Hope he gets a chance to try to get a run of games.

That’s slightly surprising?

It does show they see potential in him which is fantastic.
He certainly has  shown great quality anytime I’ve seen him.
Really comfortable on the ball

They rate him very highly at the club and like his willingness to experience different European leagues as part of his development. They see him as a future first team player and full international.

Surprised. He’s getting a bit old for random second division mainland European league loans if they think he’s going to make an impact for a top half PL team.
