No one is denying that, they're simply pointing out that there's no point not asking them.

The FAI can't be expected to make contact with every dual national player that gets selected by Northern Ireland.

No.  Just the very good ones.  Playing for a top PL club, especially one playing in the youth champions league or thereabouts would be a good clue.

Yes because it’s that straight forward Confused

You only have to see how the approach for Redmond panned out and how there still hasn’t been a definite answer from Bamford.

Some of you live in a dream world....

There's as much evidence that he has had already been approached by the FAI as there is that he hasn't been approached

Seems like we may have missed a trick.  Not too late to see if he's interested in considering ROI as an option.

Whether he was approached or not it wouldn't matter, his mum is from a Unionist background and his cousins and family are NI supporters.

Given his name, I thought there might be an obstacle alright...

PM, his Mum's family is the NI link... so not "Ballard" presumably.

NIGreenWall - where'd you get that his Mum's family are from a unionist background?

A bollard is an obstacle, it was a pun on the similarity of his name to said 'obstacle'.
