He’s performing much better then parrot , Idah and Obafemi at the same level. This is the one I’m most excited about

To be fair to young Troy, he is still only 16 years old. Aaron Connolly will be 19 in January so it's not really a fair comparison to make at the moment. Both excellent prospects IMO.

Probably our best prospect at striker right now.

In terms of everyone all in or just because he's banging in so many goals. Does he need a loan move?

He’s comfortably outscoring Idah and Parrott at the moment, while he’s playing at a much higher level than Ryan Cassidy.

The thing about Connolly is that he doesn’t have the outstanding physical tributes such as pace and strength that Idah has which is why I think his goal scoring rate is more impressive.

Not that Idah isn’t a good player but he might find things harder when other lads catch up in terms of physicality.

I think Connolly has a very good chance of playing for Brighton this season, so should maybe stay put and see where he’s at after the new year.
Haven't seen him playing for Brighton but saw a good bit of him at underage level with the international sides. He had plenty of strength then and was no slouch either. Doing very well for himself but he's only 18 so needs to play at a higher level before we can judge how good he really is but he's definitely heading in the right direction

the draw for the u19's elite qualifiers just happened. Ireland as top seeds are in a group with Russia, Azerbaijan and Romania. Great chance to qualify for the first time since 2011. No word on who will host the matches.

Azerbaijan hosting.

Will be tough over there for us.

Good draw all the same.

Glen McAuley with a goal and an assist for Liverpool u23s against Hertha Berlin. Seems to have go hold of a starting place last few weeks and a couple of goals aswel, Masterson and Kelleher played.

Troy Parrott got another 2 for Spurs under 18 last weekend also one was a belter into the top bin.

The u19s have some serious fire power up front with Parrott, McAuley, Conolloy, Idah, Obafemi and Afolabi all doing really well of late. Would be great to see them qualify for the Euros they have a real chance of going far.

Conor Coventry was named on the bench for West Ham again.

19-year-old goalkeeper Mark Travers was a substitute for Bournemouth in their defeat to Brighton. No involvement for Aaron Connolly.

After another big build up, Masterson was overlooked, as well as Corey Whelan, for Liverpool's match with Wolves, with a 16-year-old boy, Ki-Jana Hoever, preferred instead. He actually got to play when Lovren went off injured. Both played for the Under-23's against Spurs instead.

Kelleher made the bench, and has a little less competition now Grabara's gone out on loan.

Doherty came on as a sub.
