Same here. I like Apres Match but couldn't stomach it last night.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

On a similar thought, I hate when people think "if someone sings comedy it makes it funnier". For example, David O'Doherty, Flight of the Concords. If they read their lines would you laugh? Then it's not funny.

I do wonder ifthey can achieve consistency over a longer show.

I had this conversation with one of the lads before and we came to the (drunken) conclusion that it wouldn't work.

It's better in short spurts before, half time and after Ireland games. If they released a program Rosenstockish like it, this thread would be a lit less complimentary tbh.

I think Risteard Cooper is way more versatile and talented than the other two.

The real Giles and Dunphy are funnier than their impressionist tbh.

The other lad was gas as Vincent Browne but Cooper is way ahead

Oh Jesus no, not that Give my head peace. I found that atrocious as nordies aren't intentionally funny

Frank Carson Patrick Kielty and Kevin McAleer being a case in point.

Callan and rosenstock are useless.
Apres match have always been a hit and a miss. When they hit they are very funny. But I think their sketches work well at with matches. One at the break and one at the end is enough. I love the sketch they did of George hook where they are trying to figure out what he sounds like. And they compare him to buffalo being mauled by lions is priceless.
I won the Player of the Century award thanks to the people.Pele was second. He also came second behind Aryton Senna as Brazil's greatest sportsman. The award FIFA gave Pele isn't worth sh*t - Maradona

Apres Match is classic but fear a full weekly show is a bad move

Let's hope it's an improvement on the likes of Rosenstock and Callan who when getting their own series, was absolutey terrible, but these guys are the biz so it should be good.

Rosenstock has passed his sell by date by about 5 years and how Callan hasn't been murdered is a mystery. There is a certain irony, in the fact that a bad Enda impersonator is the only bigger embarrassment to the country, than Enda.

Impersonations have to be one of the lowest forms of wit.

Rosenstock was never funny, did a good impression of Mourinho but it simply wasn't funny.

Alistair McGowan doing Alan Hanson, again a perfect impression but just not funny.

People tend to think if someone sounds like them it's automatically funny.

What I loved about Bo Selecta was the impressions were so ridiculous they were brilliant (plus being a stoned student in college watching it certainly helped)

Michael Jackson's tour Of New York was priceless
