Alan Browne not in PNE's starting line up today due to him picking up a knock. Big blow for Preston as you could easily see them loose to derby today and up next for them is Leeds. The lack of signing a proven goalscorer at that level (Burke has done well tbf) could see Alex Neill loose his job before Maquire returns from injury.
time is the stuff that life is made of, don't waste it.

+1

Brown is a prime example of a player who needs to know his place in a team. Looks like a lost child playing for Ireland.

Has been a shambles every single time he's played for us. I hope he can step up but I seriously doubt he can
Here we go again

Nearly every time he has featured for us, he has been deployed alongside Hendrick and Hourihane, which is absolutely bizarre considering that the three of them are almost identical players.

These kind of midfielders need a licence to roam forward and often 'go missing' in games but pop up with goals or good assists.

I'm not sure if our midfield is strong enough to permit anyone to 'go missing' even though Hendrick does it anyway.

Hendrick probably deserves to be dropped for his recent performances in green, and I personally prefer Browne over Hourihane, so I wouldn't be surprised to see one of the latter given a chance over the course of the Nations League.

It's annoying, because Declan Rice is the kind of midfielder who would do the dirty work that would allow one of Browne, Hourihane or Hendrick go roaming forward in the hope that they might pop up with one moment of magic.

He also deserves not to have right-backs chosen ahead of him in his position for Ireland.
