Saw him play in a few end of season games for preston last season and looked very impressive and comfortable on the ball for an 18 year old. Hopefully he will cement down a place in the starting 11 (which i think he will) and will have a good chance of playing championship football next season with preston having a great chance of promotion

Any cork lads on here know how much cork city got for him?

Browne was MOTM in Prestons first league game of the season, a 1-1 draw with Notts county. Most posters on the Preston forum saying it was well deserved.

Got his first goal of the season in prestons draw with chesterfield where eoin doyle got a hatrick. Have high hopes for browne and dont think it will be too long before he gets a call up to the irish senior squad

What i mean by not too long is the next year or two as i think preston will be promoted which will make him a championship player.

Great to see 2 former LoI players playing well in England. Maybe it's to late for Doyle but Browne should feature at International level soon.

Something strange going on with him at preston. He was constantly in the starting 11 and had 2 or 3 goals but since the rumours linking him to other clubs started he has been dropped to the bench and today didnt even make the bench.

Found this on page 26 of the PNE forum (Page 26 shows their fans have forgotten him too !!)

http://www.pne-online.net/forum/showthread.php?92447-Browne/page1

Seems he is out of favour. 'Second season blues' as one poster calls it. They do speak favourably of him though.
