Any chance they could play it in somewhere other than Gibraltar or Faro?

Wouldnt be anywhere in Spain anyway but unlikely. If it were the case theyd be just better off ceding home advantage (if permitted) and playing in Dublin, Copenhagen etc twice and trying to come to some financial arrangement with the other associations.

Anyhow, I know a lot of people argued against Gibralters clearance to play International football by FIFA, but surely one of the things that should be in place before a new nation is welcomed into the international fold is that they have a stadium capable of holding matches based on the size of their population. Nobody expects somewhere like Gib, or the Faroes to have 20-30k stadiums, but they should have the facilties (press, vip incl) in a stadium proportionate to their respective populations and the infrastructure (accom) to cope.

Except they have to play all matches in the one country. It'll either be Faro or, possibly, somewhere like Craven Cottage or somewhere else in London, if they can't come to an arrangement with the Portuguese.

Agree sham, not being able to play in spain is a massive inconvenience and I presume Morroco is not viable as its outside uefa jurisdiction.

Ah yeah I know about the playing in one country rule but given that there would be no advantage whatsoever to any other team in the group by what I suggested coupled with various rules being bent before, once everyone was in agreement, it is a hypothetical option at least.

All being said, they only have themselves to blame now having not commenced whatever works they were supposed to have that allowed them be granted the dispensation for the NL.

Morocco would be of no benefit to anyone regardless.

Yeah. Now, a rule like that was not in place when they applied, and obviously it is wrong to change the rules after a nation has applied and been granted. I would certainly be against bringing it in as a requirement before a nation is allowed to become a member. However, it should be brought in as a requirement before the team is allowed to play national team matches at any level. For example, Gibraltar should have been allowed in, but not allowed to play any games until they have the stadium. It would be wrong if they had to build a stadium and then apply.

I'll be happy with either but accommodation is a hell of alot cheaper in the Algarve. I've got 5 nights in albuferia on free cancellation for €150.
Can't see flights jumping in price that much either given most already have something booked be it to Malaga or faro already
if it is in Faro, ill be staying in Faro (have a free cancellation booked) as im only doing two nights. Had enough of Albufeira the last time. Bit of a kip.

Either way, hopefully find out tomorrow anyway.

That's so boring even for your standards Sham. Just stay in the Old Town bit.. Well away from that strip LOL

As SD said if your booking anything Seville is the safest bet if your going to book anything before an announcement .
