I do a return day trip of over 500km for every Irish home game. What is the point you are trying to make?

So do I, but I would never do it on an away trip where you've already travelled thousands of miles. I'm sure 99.9% of people here could see the point he's trying to make

is that because you are travelling from your house to LR ?

Unless the person lives in Faro ,its hardly the same thing.

Sorry I don't get it. I love a good road trip. Even with the journey we are saying money by going early and flying to Faro.

Being from Cork we have to take a gamble sometimes for cheaper flights, don't have as many options as Dublin airport.

As Wicklow Runner said, it could be €30 per man for the journey. 8 fans travelling together, sounds good to me.

To what extent is the money saved I managed to get flights return to Gibraltar for around €190 over Friday back Sunday.

When you add in the time travelling to and from faro and the extra days accommodation are you saving much

Personally I'd need to be saving alot to go that way but it's each to their ownThumbs Up

Why are people so concerned on how we're getting to the game?
I've been travelling to away games for 19 years - planes, trains and automobiles.
My objective is to get there as cheaply as possible without using alot of annual leave.

If people are happy to travel that way, then let them be.

There'll be bigger issues around the game!!!!

Just on this. My flight were €90. 3 days in Faro is going to be the same as 3 days in Spain to be fair. We will both be there. Both won't have tickets so we can talk about more effective travel over a few cans. It will be my treat Ringer.

No from Dublin actually! There's 5 anyway with the same times from here, should be able to organise something nearer the time

Cut my losses with Faro. Doing Malaga return

Have checked out a few options and the best deal is a minibus for 18 and if we will it it will work out @€25 a head return  so pm me for bank details etc. . This is about €15 cheaper than the next best options. First 18 paid and if there is a larger group interested I have the option of booking a bigger bus.

Have paid  for myself. Is there still room for  mates 2 jump on also ??

Is there still space? I've myself + 2 if possible (our plans changed). Is it possible just to do the return leg? No hassles if not

Really looking forward to this now, seems to be a good selection of bars, casinos etc..around the ocean village area of Gibraltar  The arena sports bar looks like a good place to watch the game for the ticketless ones and only a few minutes walk from O'Reillys too.
time is the stuff that life is made of, don't waste it.
