The worst place I have been to in England and I include Watford, Stevenage and Peterborough. It doesn't have a single redeeming feature.

You're right about lack of redeeming features but they are worse places. Darlington was the biggest kip I've seen in England. Boarded up central.

I haven't been to Darlington, but there are always redeeming features 'up North'. These are often the people, obviously, who at least have personalities, but often the architecture too. Maybe it is the old commie in me! I don't just mean the industrial architecture, but the rows of terraced houses always give a feel of a community. I was on Teesside years ago and it was as you described Darlington, but it had redeeming features. Even boarded up shops will have an interesting story behind them. There is a social history behind that and it will at least create emotion. Crawley, on the other hand, has nothing. It is the worst thing anywhere can be and that is boring. It could have been built by Westfield, without the sheen. It is the urban continuation of an airport.

Has anyone walked up the main street in Holyhead? The biggest dump I've ever been in and I used to live in a Favellla.

That it is! There is always a chance of something interesting happening there though. It also has a decent park, a great football ground and an interesting history. Crawley has nothing!

I hear it's a kip but I was there at least twice as a kid in the 80s/90s and thought it was the bomb. The Sun Centre!!

Are we to take it from these comments that Crowley's international transfer has been completed and that he is a valuable for selection for these matches?

There must be something going on otherwise Mick McCarthy's talking out of his hole, as he'd have Bamford and redmond in in no time.
