Sad to see him go but I suppose he would be 34/35 by the next major tournament in 2022 so would most likely be past his best.

age and injuries not on his side, he finally making it at the top and time to earn a few extra Bob before retiring, can see why maybe international football could be down your list.
Shame for us though as he is so good currently. Ok he would have been 34 by the next World Cup but still. Shame he didn’t hit that kind of form 10 years ago
