According to the radio he was roaming around with a machine gun for over 7 hours! Doesn't reflect well for the Gardai

Did you read that in the Sun ? No he wasn't roaming in full view with a machine gun. And as soon as the ARU got in range of him he threw away the gun and ran for fear of being shot dead.
