I just don't know what he was even trying. At least with the misses by Kanu, Rosenthal, Torres and Giggs against Arsenal in the FA Cup in 2003, you knew what they were trying to do. The movement he made just made absolutely no sense whatsoever.

I think desperation played a part in it, for a player who was brought in to be no more than back up, yet he's played a decent amount of games and is still struggling no end to score despite the quality of service being provided.

We've seen in it happen with Benteke taking that penalty off Milivojevic and in turn missing, Nani that time he robbed Ronaldo's goal bound attempt (then ruled out for offside when Nani put it in) etc

Choupo Moting falls into that category imo.

Could be a new Derby in France in the coming seasons.
More like a Wimbledon v MK Dons.

How much crowds are allowed at French games. Looking at the Rennes v Montpellier game seems a decent size crowd. Don't seem to spaced apart. Strange as France as seeing big numbers each day.

Looks like PSG will remain top after the weekend.

Lyon beating Lille 2-0 so there will be 2 points separating the top four, barring an unlikely Lille comeback.

Such a refreshing change from previous seasons when PSG would effectively have it done and dusted by Christmas. Clap

  • French soccer club finances have been hit hard by impact of Covid-19 and LFP’s collapsed rights deal with Mediapro
  • King Street has invested €46m in Bordeaux since 2019 acquisition
