I went to see Christy last night and he was brilliant as ever. With the number of songs he has you are always lucky if he sings your favourite so was delighted when he sung the Contender Jack Doyle. So what would your top 3 be?

I'd go

1. The contender
2. Viva la Quinta Brigada
3. Joxer goes to Stuttgart

I don't have a clear favourite but La Quinta Brigada, The Voyage and Missing You are some of my favourites.
He has many brilliant songs though and Joxer really captures the atmosphere of that time.

Saw him in Whelans a couple of months ago and will go and see him in VIcar st next month. He won't be around gigging for too much longer.
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

Planxty version from 2004 is one of my all time favourite songs. Unbelievable.

Couldn't really put an order on my favourite Christy songs. Beeswing, bright blue rose, Allende, farmer Michael hayes and faithful departed are all right up there though....

Probably Beeswing - particularly the version from the 2006 DVD with Declan Sinnott.
