I think the last 4 digits of the chassis number can be used as a pin to log in online to do it either.

Has anyone on here ever sold a car through one of those quick sale car sites like zucar or are they a waste of time and you should just sell your car privately?

Sell it privately, bringing a third party in will obviously cost you money.

Yeah it's looking like I'll be emigrating by June/July albeit nothing confirmed yet (will need the car between now and then) but don't want to be left in a situation whereby the car is here and I'm not.

After you give them all info on the car and send off pics they’ll come back with an offer of about 1/2 what you’re expecting. That’s when you’ll know not to bother with them.

Hi lads,

Failed the NCT due to a rear axle imbalance. Was way outside the 30%. Is it likely to be a faulty shock absorber? If so, is it best to get both sides done?

Planning on bringing it to garage next week but looking for an idea of what to expect.

I’m presuming you failed the suspension test, if so it’s 99% shock absorbers and yeah you should always replace both of em.

Thanks 9fingers. Yes, you are correct. Is replacing the shock absorbers a big job? Have air suspension (mercedes c class) so I would imagine that makes it more difficult to get at them.

Ah ok, not as straight forward, If it’s a 2016/7 model bring it back to Merc, it could be a case of reprogramming the suspension module as opposed to replace the suspension strut

Thanks for that. Yes it is a 2017. My preference would be to go to Merc specialist but car is under warranty from a non Merc main dealer. They haven't committed to fixing it under warranty though but want to bring it in for a look next week. It is a very recent purchase.
