It’s in limp home mode. On board diagnostics have picked up a fault and now it’s trying to protect the engine. You’ll need to visit a garage, could be something small

Any Nissan Quashqai drivers amongst us ?

Looking at a 2015 SVE 1.5 Diesel , 87k km  ,  dealer saying its a great car but he would hardly say otherwise.

Anyone any insight?   this will be my car for the next 4-5 years and want something that doesn't feel cramped with 2 kids , buggys etc.

Budget is about €15k including trade in

Go out and buy a subaru impreza with fitted safety cage.

I bought an Octavia VRS and it's an absolute rocket, massive boot too.

Only buy a diesel if your doing the miles, otherwise you'll have issues with the dpf filter.

The VRS is a lovely car but calm down a bit on rocket stuff Wink. Regarding DPF, they generally do a regeneration if you are doing maybe 100kph for 15/20 min minutes or more so if you are doing any regular motorway driving you should be fine. More likely to get an issue with the EGR systems on diesels these days.

have a 181 Kia Sportage 1.7 PLATINUM 5DR. Brilliant on fuel and very comfortable on motorways etc. not a budge out of here doing 145kph. surprisingly for a 1.7 diesel she has a bit of pick up in her. Think KIA are one of the best value for money manufactures on the market at present.

The regeneration doesn't do it.

I'd usually have to bring it on the m50 for about a 20 minute drive at least to clear it.

A DPF regeneration is done when the exhaust gets hot enough to burn off the matter in filter, usually done on slightly longer/motorway drives. If this doesn't happen the ECU will trigger a burn but the issue here a lot of cars don't (well didn't anyway) tell you when this is happening so the car could be turned off midway through meaning the regeneration didn't happen.

I have one yeah, good family car for 2 adults and 2 kids. Best value for money too I found compared with other similar types of options With Hyundai, Volkswagen, Kia.

LOL This should be the answer to most questions on here Clap

Diesel Qashqais with low mileage are generally grand, I wouldn’t touch a 1.2 petrol one though.

Hyundai Tucson would be slightly better value & would be more spacious inside.
Same engine as the Kia Scientist is on about above too

Had a 2011 1.5 DCI, for 3 years, no real problems, replaced with an ix35, much better car, 1.7 makes a big difference to take off, same tax btw, ix35 are going cheap now as no longer in production, so real value for money, but depreciation in 4-5 years will be ugly to TBH

Take them out and stick your tongue on the end like you'd do as a nipper to one of those 9-volt batteries.
