The Belfast Wetherspoons used to attract the dregs of society and employed a small army of bouncers to cope with all the fights but has evolved into an ordinary enough pub where cheap meals as well as beer attracted a healthy profit before the lockdown.

I agree principles go out the window with some people when it comes to money sadly.

Did you never want to queue up perpendicular to the bar behind other punters in a straight line instead of standing at the bar roaring at the barman for a pint? can't understand why.

Dublin airport has gone to sh1te since T2 opened, just a generic UK style now with WH Smith shops and BTOB car raffles. The Gate Clock Bar is the only bit of normality and character left in the place.

"The Gate Clock Bar".. worth flying with Lufthie for the return flight.
In fairness the view from the T2 bar is lovely. Have often sat there just looking out

It's not that bad. Not really sure what you're expecting from an airport in terms of character.

Have to say it's the best airport I've ever been in for getting through security in a decent timeframe no matter how busy it is. I find it's way too slower at airports abroad in general and people have to be prompted to take off their belts and getting their laptops and other valuables ready for inspection, instead of just doing it themselves.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

With pubs in Ireland being in trouble,  is it his time to pounce and take a rake over? It would be awful if it happened.

Ireland's newest Wetherspoons is proving a massive hit with Dubliners with lengthy queues outside each weekend since it has opened.

The pub, located on Dublin's thriving Camden Street, is attracting huge interest with its cheap prices and prime location.< ="teads-resize" title="teads-resize" style=": transparent; outline: 0px; vertical-align: line; width: 800px; border-width: initial !imant; border-style: none !imant; margin: 0px !imant; padding: 0px !imant; height: 0px !imant; min-height: 0px !imant; display: block !imant;">

Droves of young people headed to the spot on both Friday and Saturday night with queues visible all the way along the busy street.

Some social media users have labelled the queues "embarrassingly long" as many shared images on Twitter of the large crowds.

One Friday queuer told the Irish Mirror that the long wait time was "worth it" as the prices "are the best in Dublin".

The new pub and hotel opened on August 16 in what was the single largest investment made by the company in its 41-year history.

The company has invested €27.4 million in developing the site on Camden Street Upper and Lower, and purchased the property for €6 million.

The local Wetherspoons in Sunderland has had about 7/8 products out of stock for over two weeks now.
