While I agree that Gelsenkirchen, Vienna, Cardiff, Lille and Germany at home were extremely satisfying nights there were contrasting performances too the WC play off at home to the Danes and his last hurrah when he parked the bus in Aarhus in a dead rubber nations league game. Then there was the game in Warsaw where we had a free hit at 2-1 down but never really went for it and the appalling training camp in Antalya which was labelled as a joke by some players (not publicly).

What happened there?
Nothing apparently, given a ball and told to have a kick around. No wonder rice said feck this.
Had our Assistant Manager checked the facilities for kick-around?

Another interview with Pat Kenny this morning. Bit of a longer interview, about 30 mins, but covered much of the same ground as the LLS interview. Said there was nothing he could do to change Declan Rice's mind and that his agent got in touch with Gareth Southgate.

I've heard Brendan Rodgers describe himself as a British manager.   They are like Red in Shawshank Prison.   Institutionalised.

There’s words for ****s like that.

He’s a bitter, toxic, warped dickhead with an enormous chip on his shoulder and a massive persecution-complex whilst, ironically, remaining incredibly arrogant.

I saw Tubridy interviewing some politician a few years back and he was decent.  He was able to give him a decent grilling.  Can't remember who it was now...

He's not a natural at chat shows.  Forced laughter and craic.

He tried to roast Paul Murphy a few years ago - to the point of being unprofessional - but he’s given plenty of others a much easier ride. Can’t stomach the **** tbh.

O'Neill left Ireland at a young age, like so many, his family also moved over to Nottingham so he would have had fewer links than many who would still come home for a visit.
Given he captained NI in the World Cup he has to say he identifies as Norn Irish, and if he does, I don't care.
He was an excellent manager at Celtic, he woke a slumbering beast, giving us the best days I ever saw.  He was also excellent for Ireland, and yes it went wrong at the end, but as so many have said, few managers walk away on the back of success, even Jack's end was bad.
He seems to feel aggrieved that he didn't get the recognition he fells he deserved for doing with he did with an average group of players.  We beat Germany with Christie, Keogh and Ward (who had played 1 game all season, up to that point) in our back 4, Coleman and Whelan were injured and Daryl Murphy was up front, some achievement.
